Mum's the Word as Upwey Mumpreneur Announced as National Award Finalist

Mother of two, Amanda Freeman from Upwey has been recognised as a Best Life and Business Clarity finalist in the coveted 2017 Motivating Mum Brilliant Biz Mum Awards.

These prestigious awards are the brainchild of one of Australia’s leading networking groups for mums in business – Motivating Mum (www.motivatingmum.com). They celebrate and showcase the outstanding hard work, determination and achievements of many mums in business across the country.

Amanda is owner of Inspire Natural Therapies, specialising in the ancient Japanese healing technique of Reiki and Energy Healing since 2010. The business came about after Amanda’s own experiences in recovering from trauma following a childhood accident at the age of 11.

In the year 2000 after suffering from chronic pain and depression Amanda experienced a series of Reiki sessions on the recommendation of a friend. This was a changing point for her in her healing and recovery.

Having found such a profound sense of healing through these sessions and through learning Reiki, Amanda decided to become a practitioner and Master/Teacher to help others in similar situations. Seven years later, Amanda continues to work with and teach people, both locally and internationally in both the personal healing and business-healing arena.

“Being given the opportunity to learn self-healing techniques and to re-connect to my inner strength and intuition when I first came across Reiki allowed me to finally move past the trauma of my childhood accident and take some back control in my life.

Helping others to feel more empowered and to be able to understand how to mange their own energy in life and business is something I’m so passionate about.

Being able to serve others and also have the time to be a dedicated mum to my two girls is so important to me. Running Inspire Natural Therapies allows me that flexibility - to live a fulfilled life on my terms! I am incredibly grateful to receive this nomination in these awards”.

The Motivating Mum Brilliant Biz Mum Awards are made up of 13 categories each representing particular areas of business including social media, branding, marketing and more.

What sets these particular awards apart from many others is they are judged by a panel rather than social media voting. This means all winners are determined based on merit.

Thirteen amazing mums in business were announced as the best in their field at the Brilliant Biz Mum Awards night held on Saturday 20th May 6 - 9pm in Melbourne. The award ceremony followed on from a Biz Mum Conference featuring amazing speakers, workshops and networking opportunities.

Each category winner received a beautiful charm necklace, coverage in Kid Magazine (Awards media partner) and business package valued at more than $4 800. Our congratulations to Amanda on making the national finals. She’s a winner in our opinion!
